Summer is almost here and the sea is starting to wash in its mysteries ~ like todays solitary deep orange scallop shell from a far away shore clutched in my hand. Perched in the sand, almost washed away, was a lost beloved stuffed penguin hand-sewn in an Aussie print with a huge heart covering its chest. Two teens from Ireland gleefully brave the not quite warmed New England waters for a dip. I sit and record it all in my Amalfi journal.....its pages as white as pure sand, deckled edges as rippled as the water, a marbled cover reminiscent of the sand patterns left by the ebbing rush of sea ~ all sewn together with a binding as permanent as the waves....

I am inspired to do nothing more than sit by this shore and write.Get inspired. Inspire your dad or your grad. Get an Amalfi journal for yours and their summer too. Amalfi is summer.
